Oswego, IL. December 15, 2015 − Sheriff Mark Curran, endorses James Marter of Oswego for U.S. Senate today.James Marter is pleased to announce the endorsement of Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran. Sheriff Curran is a man of integrity and principle; he is a champion of fiscal responsibility, government transparency and justice with integrity.

Sheriff Curran states,

“Exactly seven years ago, today to be exact, December 15, 2008, I switched to the republican party because the democrats did not represent me anymore.

“I chose to switch to a party that I hoped would continue to defend freedom. I did not switch to be in a party that will protect one of its own, regardless of what they have done while in office.

“Mark Kirk may have spent significant time attending to the needs of the Cook County law enforcement, but has done nothing for the Lake County Sheriff’s office.

“I am supporting James Marter, because he is a family man, business owner, proponent of the 2nd amendment, and pro-life.

“James is the type of candidate that the founders envisioned, “a solid member of our community, and not a career politician, so therefore, I wanted to be the first elected official in the state of Illinois, to endorse James Marter for Senate.”

As the Lake County Sheriff, Mark Curran has implemented sound financial budget practices, that has for the past consecutive eight years kept the Sherriff’s department expenditures under budget.  Sheriff Curran has also been instrumental in the Lake County Sheriff’s office working closely with the local States Attorney’s office to reduce the number of outstanding warrants to the levels since 2005.

James Marter is running for United States Senate to represent the state of Illinois; he believes that the time is right to send a Senator to Washington D.C., whose first interest is the Liberty, and Security of the American citizen taxpayer.  Someone that will represent Illinois fairly, ethically, and with integrity.

Senatorial Candidate James Marter and Sheriff Mark Curran was at Morgan’s Restaurant in Libertyville, at 3 p.m. speaking with those seeking further information.  Sheriff Mark Curran can be reached at: 847-721-3189 for further inquiries regarding his endorsement.

  1. Mr. Marter, thanks for stepping up to challenge RINO Kirk.

You will have my support at the ballot box.

  2. Fully support Mr. Marter.

I believe that the only reason Curran runs as a Republican is the Right to Life issue.

He is (imho) not a conservative who fully supports the Constitution and based on his writings does not support the legal American worker.
