Kasich Gets Desparate

Trump-Putin yard sign mocking Vladimir Putin’s endorsement of Donald Trump for President.

Received an email today with a campaign sign linking Donald Trump and Vladimer Puten.

It came from Ohio Govenror John Kasich, a candidate for the Republican Presidential nomination.

As readers know, I rarely dip into national politics–this is McHenry County Blog, after all–but this email interested me on two levels:

  1. The level that Kasich will stoop to get some press and
  2. How good the satire is (I’m still chuckling.)

Here’s the release:

TRUMP NAMES VLADIMIR PUTIN AS HIS RUNNING MATE

Duo Pledge to “Make Tyranny Great Again”

In a bold and visionary move characteristic of everything he does, today terrific billionaire Donald Trump named Russian President Vladimir Putin as his running mate in the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign.  Trump pledged that together with Putin he would “Make Tyranny Great Again.”

Trump said he picked Putin to be his vice president for his strong approach to dealing with dissent, flexible approach to democracy, rule of law and the Constitution, and his willingness to regularly violate other countries’ territorial integrity in blatant violation of international law if it suited his aims.

“I think I would just get along very well with Vladimir Putin. I just think so. People say what do you mean? I just think we would,” said Trump.

Putin readily accepted Trump’s offer to serve on his ticket, saying, “He’s a really brilliant and talented person, without a doubt…he’s the absolute leader in the presidential race.”

Trump also unveiled a new website for the dictatorial duo: Trump-Putin2016.com, as well as the Twitter feed @TrumpPutin.

Concerns that a Putin vice presidency is, well, illegal are just sour grapes from dummies not smart enough to think of it first.

Kasich Gets Desparate — 11 Comments

  1. Well, If you are comfortable with a potus that is business partners with George Soros, then Trump or Hillary is your candidate.

I see Trump putting his business partners into cabinet positions.

Let’s see, George Soros as Chairman of the Federal Reserve.

Jonathon Gruber or Hillary as the Health and Human Services Chairman to oversee his implementation of Universal Healthcare.

    Go Trump!

Let’s get more government into our lives and into our healthcare.

  2. Kasich – a jealous and irrelevant nobody desperately trying to be
    a relevant somebody …. FAIL.

    Nothing but a closet Democrat.

  3. “sour grapes from dummies” = clever phrase.

If Trump were to mouth off about Putin, the Trump competition and media would slam him for that as well and say he must be more tolerant of other world leaders.

    Give me a break.

So, the anti-Trump bandwagon continues rolling along.

Exactly what type of people has our current president appointed or hired?

Are they Socialists, Radical Muslim/Islamic Extremists, Liberal Toadies who drool at his every word even if those words are destroying our country?

When they have failed, have they been fired or locked up?

Did our govt. ever pursue getting a rebate from those they hired to create the messed up health care website?

It’s time for a change because what has been going on for years/decades has created the mess we’re in now.

I don’t want any more dynasty presidents who think it is or was their time and they should inherit the position.

Politicians, media, and the overly politically correct and celebrities have had their choices, now let’s get someone in office who has been phenomenally successful in his/her personal life.

Let’s be proud of success instead of getting lectured and apologized for by top govt. officials who are, at best, sweet talkin’ and clueless.

Oh, oops, the establishment politicians are getting their noses out of joint because someone who isn’t an insider has been rising in the polls and taking off the covers of those who aren’t getting the job done year, after year after year.

When I hear and watch Kasich I wait patiently for him to get over himself and get off the stage.

Others can like him if they want the same old same old.

    Not me.

  4. Every year I’ve noticed the rock throwing has increased from both sides.

This election before over could be one of the dirtiest ever, or at least until the next election after this one.

I’m building a new house on top of part of the Cary gravel this spring around the time of the IL primary.

Any of you rock throwers need more ammo, just left me know.

No charge for any rocks you can fit in your hand, two hand size will cost ya a small fee per ton.

  5. Brent, dirtiest in my life time.

Back before the civil war the elections were mighty mean also.

  6. Trump is a progressive, aka Democrat. Just look at his healthcare plan.

  7. What Kasich doesn’t realize is that the longer he stays in the race, the more likely Donald Trump is to win.

  8. RACCCCIIIISSSSSSSMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first resort of Liberal losers.
