I asked both Lakewood and District 200 what happened at the December 22nd meeting about the Lakewood Tax Increment Financing District.
Here’s how Lakewood Village President Erin Smith replied:
We had a good first meeting with D200, but it was simply that – a first meeting.
It was a positive meeting, but no actions were taken except that we agreed to meet again after the holidays to continue the discussion.
No reply yet from Woodstock School District Superintendent Michael Moan.
Chairwoman of D200 was requested to obtain a tolling agreement in return for delay filing lawsuit.
Either she deliberately decided not to request a tolling agreement or Lakewood refused to provide one.
Lakewood tif was formed in January of 2015.
