A request from the Environmental Defenders of McHenry County:

Annual Award Nominations Needed!

This year, as in the past, The Defenders will be presenting awards at our Annual Meeting in the following categories:

–Theta Award – given to an organization or individual who demonstrates a commitment to the environment through programs and actions that result in conservation, protection, and
preservation of natural resources.

–Government/Organization Award – for the McHenry County governmental group or organization that has made a significant contribution to environmental protection in the County during the past year.

–Volunteer Award – for the Defenders’ member who has contributed the most to the good of the organization through his/her volunteer efforts during the past year.

–Young Environmental Defender of the Year Award – for a Defenders’ member under 20 who has contributed most to environmental protection in the County in the past year.
