League Candidate Schedule — 9 Comments

  1. The Left Wing Vultures are arranging the hatchet squad as we speak.

  2. The County Clerks website FAILS to include all the candidates.

    That website sucks.

I can’t find the info I’m looking for.

Who will be debating on Feb 4 for State House 63 and 66?

And Congressional Dis 6 & 14, besides Hultgren in 14 and Roskam in 6?

    Do they have opponents?

I’d like to fill out a comparison form of my own and take it with me.

The last time I was at a league debate they couldn’t even get the Candidates names right and THEY DON:T ASK GOOD QUESTIONS THE AUDIENCE SUBMITS!

    So they suck also!

  3. Is this right?

State House Dist 63 is: REICK, Franks, Lichte

State House Dist 66 is: Serwatka, Wilbrandt, Skillicorn, Schofeld

I still don’t know who is running against Hultgren in Dist 14 or Roskam in Dist 6
    HELP?

  4. @JEEBUS @Nob: I’ve been invited and will be there.

Lichte is in fact a Democrat, but is on the Republican ballot.

I look forward to debating him.

If he doesn’t show up, I’m going to be limited to a 2-minute statement and won’t be able to take questions from the audience, because it wouldn’t be “fair” to the candidate who didn’t have the decency to show up.

I will, however, be happy to stay as long as necessary to answer any and all questions in the common room.

I don’t know why Franks shows up in the District 63 list, since he’s uncontested, but the Democrat running in District 66, also uncontested, is not listed.

This is probably a better source:

    General Primary, March 15, 2016

    63rd State Representative
Jack Franks – Democrat – Marengo
Steve Reicke – Republican – Harvard
Jeffery Lichte – “Republican” – McHenry (really a Democrat)

    66th State Representative
Nancy Zettler – Democrat – Algonquin
Carolyn Schofield – Republican – Crystal Lake
Paul Serwatka – Republican – Lakewood
Allen Skillicorn – Republican – East Dundee
Dan Wilbrandt – Republican – West Dundee

14th US Representative (14th Congressional District)
John Hosta – Democrat – Spring Grove
Jesse Maggitt – Democrat – Plainfield
Jim Walz – Democrat – Gurnee
Randy Hultgren – Republican – Plano

6th US Representative (6th Congressional District)
Amanda Howland – Democrat – Lake Zurich
Robert Marshall – Democrat – Burr Ridge
Gordon Kinzler – Republican – Glen Ellyn
Peter Roskam – Republican – Wheaton

  6. One could argue that Lichte is every bit as republican as Schofield.
