One reason for the lack of volunteers to ‘serve’ on committees is the ongoing penchant of the County Board to overrule whatever the committees recommend / suggest.
In addition, the Board members constantly turn down volunteers because of their perceived ‘political’ stance.
Some Board members and the County Clerk will claim the reason for the lack of volunteers is the requirement to disclose some information – wrong.
It is the lack of respect given by STAFF and some Board members.
