Independent expenditures did not exist (at least officially) when I was running for office.
In the mailing in support of Barrington Hills Village President for the State Senate, Realtors paid the bill.

Only two ways to keep business in Illinois:
1. take money from the taxpayers to subsidize (bribe) business to remain here (selective capitalism)
2. fix the pension mess by having a referendum to change the State Constitution relative to guaranteed public sector pensions and increases plus remove the right to strike from the public sector without the implementation of forced arbitration
I hear a lot about option 1 but very little about option 2.
Nothing will change for the better unless you elect people such as Steve Reick and Paul Serwatka locally.
Too late to do anything this election about the Progressive senator, Althoff.
The realtors will be doing $20,000 worth of these mailers for Schofield any day now.
Just an observation Barrington Hills is mostly residential and doesn’t have a train station or a retail development like the postcard, although the 26th State Senate District covers more than just Barrington Hills.
What is the location of the retail / residential development on the postcard?
Nothing about pensions which is the biggest problem in the state.
Realtors (National Association of Realtors fund) rarely talk about pensions.
Maybe the dome on the state house should be changed from silver to red since the state is in the red financially.
