Attorney David Stieper reminds comment readers of the strategy he suggests to those truly interested in protecting the taxpayer could take to return the bulk of the money sitting idle in the Valley Hi Nursing Home account:

The Board should sue Valley Hi seeking imposition of constructive trust on these funds and request the court appoint a receiver for return of these funds back to the taxpayer where they belong.

Mike [Walkup], this is the strategy I recommended some weeks ago on this blog.

  1. Since we bought our house in 2006, we have lost $57,000 in value, but our taxes have gone up over $2000 during the same time period.

Would the taxpayers save more if the county kept the money and froze the annual tax increases?

I would love to get some money back, but don’t want to get $50 back, followed by another $100 increase.

I’m not being a smart @#×, I really am interested in knowing the figures.
