Another Joe Tirio Mailing

Joe Tirio’s smiling face graced his latest post card.

That caught my eye, because past literature had had him looking solemn.

Tirio mail 3-11-16 address

The part of the Tribune endorsement quoted says, “Only one, Joe Tirio of Woodstock, pledges to eliminate the office before the end of his term.  Tirio wants to fold the recorder’s office into the clerk’s office and save taxpayers big money.  Tirio is endorsed.”

This one stresses the endorsement by the Chicago Tribune on the address side.

The back of Joe Tirio's mailing

The back of Joe Tirio’s mailing tells how the Recorder’s salary of $105,000, plus benefits would be saved, if his plan is implemented.

  1. If taxing bodies cut spending by only 2%, real estate taxes would not need to be raised.

We the people are always having to look for ways to cut our spending-why not Govt.?

Thanks Joe Tirio for your part.

Perhaps you’re smiling because you know you’re going to win and that the people are behind you.

You’re the only one with a plan to cut spending.

I know you influence many people and taxing bodies thru Voters In Action.

    Please Keep it going!

Let’s hope it becomes a movement and we’re able to cut spending all across the board.

I’m sick of my friends and family saying they have to leave McHenry County because our Govt. is over spending!

  2. TirioTirio why should we believe that this is not a self serving ploy for the 105,000 a year salary plus benefits that you will receive.

4 years and 405,000 seems to be a good motivator.

I am sure that you belive in your own mind that this is about the people; nevertheless it is what you have convinced yourself since you first thought up this idea.

This is demonstrated by the ever changing explaination of how this would be done.

First you were saving 10 million than it was 40 million than it was never mind that does not matter.

You remind me of a story about the man behind the black curtain called the Wizard of Oz.

You tell people do not pay attention to the reasons I previously gave because that does not matter, rather pay attention to the things I have conjured up that sound better.

This erase the recorder is nothing more than empty promises.

It is like the liberals all say we need food stamps and free support for “the children”.

It is for the children is a political slogan just like your claim this is tax savings for the people.

I cannot wait until Tuesday to toast the new county recorder and I know it won’t be you.

Your plan is incomplete and incompetent just like you.

Obviously Monarch Senior care is not doing so well; so 420,000 plus benefits sounds real good.. McHenry County taxpayers Keep your eyes on the money this is a wolf in sheep clothing.

  3. The Joni desperados are out.

    LOL.

Eleventh hour trippin’ because they’ve got nothing.

I like Joe and his plan to save the county from any more govt than we need / cut spending.

  4. Plan to consolidate recorder into county clerk office backed by AG letter, Illinois statute, many examples by practice in Illinois.

No evidence that County Clerk salary rose appreciably in Illinois Counties which have executed this consolidation.

  5. Bye Bye Recorder’s Elected position!

    This is awesome!

I’m on the Voters In Action steering committee with Joe, and thru voters in action organization he has led us to accomplish:

*Stopping the costly and unneeded Artificial turf at the 100 yr old High School

*Stopping the free clinic in the High School that would bypass parental/family doctor knowledge or control

*Stopped the ridiculous Randall Road plan for 4 pedestrian bridges, 3.5 miles of frontage road, continuous flow intersection

*Helped stop the power plant in Oakwood Hills residential area.

And this was just his hobby. (after hours from his full-time+ business)

He WILL get this Consolidation done.

  6. That’s right, Susan.

    Tirio’s plan only makes sense.

    (for the taxpayers that is)

Anyone against it is an opponent hoping to ride the political pony as long as they can.

Once again, thank you for your facts and figures.

  7. The Plan is a documented and proven. Read it and weep, doubters! Just means the people and functions of Recorder will be under the County Clerk. Recorder elected position-Gone! I want to see McHenry County on this list.

(Note: Cook County is over 17x the size of McHenry County and they put this plan to vote.

Only lost by one measly vote.

If a county more than 17x the size of ours can consider it, we certainly can Do it!
