Some will find this hard to believe, but a real, live person called me Wednesday night.

It was a man volunteering for Jay Kinzler.

He made his pitch, even letting me know he was reading from a script at one point.

Definitely a volunteer and not a paid professional.

Refreshing, actually.

Earlier today, I got a robo-call from Kinzler.  The phone number was that of his wife.

And, tonight State Rep. Barb Wheeler called on Kinzler opponent, incumbent Congressman Peter Roskam.

It was well written and ended unlike any other I have received:

“I have to let you know my call is Paid for by Roskam for Congress.”

Then, she gave his phone number.
