Former GOP McHenry County Board member and Cook County Deputy Sheriff Bob Bless is suing in Federal Court to get back on the Sheriff’s payroll.

That’s what the Cook County Reporter is saying.

Bless is claiming he was fired for political reasons, that is, because he is a Republican, and because he is white.

Bless lost his job in the Sheriff’s Office in 2013 and, subsequently, filed a wrongful termination suit.

Bless lost his County Board seat after one term to Democrat Nick Chirikos in 2012 by 310 votes.

The election came before a complaint before the Attorney’s Registration and Disciplinary Board was decided.
