2016 Republican Primary Votes by Precinct — 24 Comments

  1. I just checked the Clerk’s site.

It has different numbers than a few days ago, but it STILL says the results are “unofficial”.

Does anyone know when the “Official” results will be out?

I thought it was supposed to be today.

  2. Steve,

    The clerk has 21 days.

Sec. 22-1. Abstracts of votes. Within 21 days after the close of the election at which candidates for offices hereinafter named in this Section are voted upon, the election authorities of the respective counties shall open the returns and make abstracts of the votes on a separate sheet for each of the following:

    B. For State officers;
    C. For presidential electors;
    D. For United States Senators and Representatives to Congress;

    Respectfully,
    Andrew Gasser

  3. Ah, my mistake. I thought it was fourteen days.

    Thanks, guys.

  4. Interesting….Donna Kurtz and Tom McDermott both lost their precincts to Dems!

That’s pretty hard to do in McHenry County!

  5. Algonquin Township Chairman Chris Yaeger lost his precinct too.

He refused to walk it for Dan McChonchie.

And he wants to be chairman again?

    Gasser is an idiot.

Gasser hasn’t done a damn thing for this county or this party.

He was MIA for Kenneally and Tirio.

He didn’t do a thing for Demetri or Walkup.

    Gasbag is all hot air.

Now he wants us all to believe he knows the election law.

  6. Now, what can be done to have Judge Kevin Costello removed from the bench?

I have been first hand witness to his, in my opinion, unscrupulous, mistake ridden, erroneous and, YES, arrogant rulings from the bench.

As a Judge, it makes those around him ask and wonder, where on the earth did that man get his law degree?

Was he c student or a D student?

    Or, did he barely pass?

    Please, enlighten the people Judge.

He claimed that homeschooling was not a real school and therefore refused to allow College expenses from the parent.

It just so happens I was in his courtroom one day when the defense Attorney in a case left the courtroom traveled to the lower level and returned with a briefcase. When he sat down he looked at the plaintiffs Attorney and asked “HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT?” The Plaintiffs Attorney replied “FIVE THOUSAND”

Apparently, the money was dealed and sealed.

More to come on Corruption in McHenry County near you.

A complaint is currently being filed with the Judicial Inquiry Board.

Judge Costello, you have a lot of explaining to do.

By the way Judge Kevin Costello, I want your resignation!

  7. It would be nice if the spread sheet at the bottom gave totals of each Rep and Dem voters in the county.

  8. Fred had also explains Kurtz being elected, being that she’s a Democrat herself.

  9. FC, I think you are a liar.

Tell the date and time of what you claim to have heard these lawyers say, their names, and your name, and report it.

Next, tell the name of the case in which you criticize Judge Costello’s ruling.

Without these specifics, nothing can be verified, and your claims sound, as always, like the reckless lies I think they are.

You keep making claims of corruption, never with evidence or specifics.

I challenge you to back up your accusations, or stop making them.

  10. Martin, I suggest you clam it!

Don’t you have some private investigation work to do or something?

Maybe, find someones IP address by snooping around where you don’t belong?

In my opinion, there appears to be a conflict of interest between a law license and a Private investigators license.

    You have both?

Just in case you wondering, it is the Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulations that allows you to operate as a Private Investigator.

They can also take away the license if they find you have violated the terms of that license.

    Just a thought.

  11. Frankly Martin, I don’t care what you think!

You are a part of the “Old Establishment” that is currently in the process of being bull dozed down with each and every election.

The people of our County are awake and listening.

The number of people at the polls has increased by 40% to 50%.

The people are taking back McHenry County and the State of Illinois and they will continue to do so.

  12. I think Woodstock observer is onto something.

Andrew Gasser clearly has hit a nerve with the political class.

My question is what good is Gasser to the party?

What has he done specifically for people to carry his large carcass around this county?

To those of you who support him, how does he unify the party moving forward?

From what county board members tell me Gasser is a self promoting windbag who never offers solutions.

Seriously, what has been accomplished since Gasser has been on the board?

He grandstands and takes credit for things he never did.

He is unrepaired for board meetings and literally, “he stinks”.

He is a failed leader in the military.

He got out as a Captain after 20 years.

    I know O-3 after 20 years is a failure of a career.

If his military career is any indication of his political career he will run Algonquin Township straight into the ground.

Has anyone heard of any of his military accomplishments?

For all of his grandstanding he does how come he never talks about “his service”?

  13. Frankly I’m shocked to hear of people talk about Andrew Gasser as they do, but than again when one hides behind a user name it’s easy to say whatever one wants.

I walked with Andrew several times and he endorsed Tirio as well as Kenneally so unless Woodstock Resident was walking my precinct or any of the many other precincts Andrew walked he has no reason for his above comments.

Anyone who bad mouths Andrew in the military I ask you- have you served in the military?

Have you been sent oversees for war?

I have not but, I wouldn’t say something bad about someone who defends YOUR freedom just to say they were a failed military leader as McHenry County Obesrver stated.

I would encourage you to post with your real names and own up to your opinions.

Otherwise they have been unheard and mean nothing.

If you have a valid problem or concern contact Andrew yourself as he is very open to listening to constiruents.

He walks all over Mc Henry County all the time, so when I hear people speak of him not doing his job I have to say I know it isn’t true.

Alas, let the voters decide as they always like to speak with him when he goes door to door.

  14. Jennifer is right.

Anonymously slamming people is easy, when no proof is ever required.

Perhaps Mr Gasser does not talk about his military service because he does not want to.

Perhaps he’s not the kind to brag or inflate his service.

Maybe he thinks it’s just not relevant to his civilian political career.

Whatever the reason, it is childish and dishonest for people to make up negative conjecture about why he does not bring it up.

In the same topic, he could have ended as an 0-3 due to reserve duty, or because he started enlisted and was selected for OCS, because he started enlisted then got out, then went to college and rentered as an officer, or at least a dozen other scenarios.

So if you don’t know his story, stop making up assumptions upon which you draw phony conclusions.

  15. Woodstock Resident, go back to Cal’s maps a few pages back see the facts.

Kenneally, Tirio, and Walkup all won in Andrew’s SE corner of the county, and that is the only area Demetri won.

Idiot is over the top also, although he is kind of full of it and himself at times.

Dan McChonchie is/was a lobbyist, I can see not supporting people that hold that JOB then run for office.

  16. I thought the party stayed out of primary elections.

This is the ugliest election I have ever witnessed.

I’m glad to see a large turnout but I have serious doubts about the legitimacy of the voting overall.

When people were trying the electronic voting were votes being counted with each try?

Are these computers secure or can someone change votes from the parking lot?

I’ll be waiting for my taxes to go down lol

  17. What school board are you willing to run for, The Mrs?

We all know that’s what is driving up taxes.

  18. @The Mrs

Traditionally, political parties do stay out of primaries.

When I asked Mr Gasser about that in a prior thread, he said that it was OK for him to get involved because he wasn’t just a party official, but also an elected official, and it was alright for him to endorse candidates in that capacity.

I wasn’t particularly impressed with his explanation, because I don’t think you can just remove one hat and don another at will.

  19. It looks like it showing the total number of registered voters and the number of voter the winning committee man candidates won.
