With Kane County’s Association of Individual Development seeking to take over Pioneer Center’s adult mental health services, Rockford’s Rosecrance is set to do the same for juveniles.
It proposes to provide Screening, Assessment and Support Services (SASS).
There is already a relationship.
On March 18th an interim contract was awarded that ends on June 1st.
Already 20 have been screened for crisis services.
Four SASS counselors and a supervisor have been hired from Pioneer Center in addition to one from Rockford. Five more employees are planned to be hired.
On Monday at 5 PM the following grant will be requested from the 708 Board:
Of the $183,000 requested, how much actually goes to directly helping those in need?
It’s easy to ask for money for salaries, but I’d like real data on what quality services taxpayers are funding in this money request.
This will not end well.
Pretty sad for Pioneer.
A lot of kids will suffer because of this.
Youth Service Bureau took over Pioneer Centers Intact Family Services contract on April 1.
I am complete agreement with rawdogger….right down to and including the $ in rosecrance….
this will not end well……………
