“I voted early at McHenry City Hall on Tuesday the 8th.”I was issued a paper ballot.

“There was no accu-vote tabulator.

“There was no big black ballot box to put the ballot in.

“When I asked the judges about how the votes would be counted, they told me that they would have to be fed into the machine later.

“I then questioned their use of a black pen to initial the ballot, because as an election judge they tell you in training that it has to be red or the machine will pick up the extra black ink and spit it out as an over vote.

“They told me they weren’t issued any red pens.

“I was just instructed to fold it in half and place it in the box on the counter.”

  1. Good eye Erik!!

There are more anomalies in that posting..

  2. Based on the quality of the canvass and the results posted for committeemen, I strongly suggest taxing bodies check their tax computation reports very closely AND taxpayers check their tax bills very closely.

  3. I agree, Fighting Corruption.

At the very least, there should be a total recount.

That might even go some way toward improving Ms. McClellan’s image.

  4. It’s very concerning all the problems that occurred this election.

    Are all these problems normal??

  5. Jan, lived here a long time and never saw anything like it.

First election for the clerk and it is obvious to me that she should never have been elected.

  6. Actually it is her second election.

However, she has removed or replaced about fifty percent of the people involved in elections since she took office.

When you talk to her, you will quickly discover that she does not have an evident problem of poor self esteem.

When I used to read the minutes from County Board meetings (when she was a County Board member), she appeared to believe she knows it all.

  7. It is clear to most who care about these things…

NOTHING short of a full recount… will do.

Sooner rather than later… before candidates who won races based on the currently results can be replace with those who actually won their races!

  8. I just talked to Mary at 8 amthis morning.

    A typo.

    Sivertsen will be the Committeeman.

  9. Two things are crystal clear. The entire election results in this county was corrupted and needs to be recounted.

The County Clerk must be investigated and, if possible, impeached for negligence and recalled.

  10. Marsha’s part of the crooked crowd.

Like vampires, it takes quite a few hit to finally scotch them.

I wonder if ole Kathy Schultz’s boy-blunder son, who was the techie-‘n-charge for the Clerk’s Office until his unceremonious canning by McCann (in favor o’ her own sort of nepotism) jigged something w/ the software to punish the new Clerk …. just another aspect to be investigated!

  11. Crooked, there’s that work again.

    Based on what information?

Start backing up those accusations or stifle them
