Woodstock: “We Don’t Want Nobody Nobody Sent”

Woodstock resident Scott Gessert found the following of interest.

A newsletter from the Woodstock City Manager dated April 15, 2016, seeks applications for two Opera House jobs, but the applications are due the same day, April 15th.

“Why even post them if you are not going to genuinely offer them to the public?” Gessert asks.

Good question.

“My concern is the authenticity of the invitation,” he continues.

“Are they really looking for a pool of quality candidates for the positions or is there some patronage deal in the works?”

  1. How is a clerical position worth $40,000 with health benefits and IMRF retirement which means your paying someone over $60,000 to be a secretary! That is another reason that Woodstock has high taxes!
