Drug Free Message for Middle School Students on May 26th

McHenry County Snowflake to Offer Students Night of Leadership Exploration

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL. (May 5, 2016). McHenry County Operation Snowball presents Snowflake 2016, which aims to help students discover the greatness that lies within them. On Thursday, May 26, 2016, McHenry County middle school students can attend an evening geared to explore leadership, communication, teambuilding and healthy decision making.

Students will also be shown how to use setbacks as a launching pad for success!

Motivational guest speaker, Eddie Slowikowski, has over 24-years speaking experience. His high energy approach aims to help launch students to success. Slowikowski aims to empower each audience member to find the greatness that lives inside of them.

Snowflake 2016 will be led by trained McHenry County high school student leaders who have chosen to live a drug-free life.

Other adult role models who have chosen to live the same lifestyle and who seek to create an active community of caring will assist in the facilitation of this event.

Snowflake 2016 will be held from 4:30 until 9:00 in the evening at Richard Bernotas Middle School at 170 N. Oak St. in Crystal Lake. Cost of attendance is $20 per student, which includes a t-shirt, dinner, snacks and a bag of goodies. Partial scholarships may be available. Parents are urged to attend the event as well, during the parent program from 7:40pm – 9:00pm.

Registration will close on Wednesday, May 18 and is available online at partneringforprevention.net. Payment is due at the time of registration.

There will be no walk-ins allowed on the night of the event.

Snowflake 2016 is sponsored by Partnering for Prevention, LLC, hosted by Bernotas Middle School and is funded in part by the McHenry County Mental Health Board.
