Men figure out where to put an American flag.

Men figure out where to put an American flag.

An organization called Pillars of Freedom put up American flags along Lake Avenue, the main drag in old Lakewood.

A lot of American flags were going up.

A lot of American flags were going up.

They were right in front of our home.

The hollow flag poles were placed over rebar.

When I went out later, the men were covering my side of the street.

  1. … And don’t forget to display the stars and stripes prominently at your business and residence.

It really drives the America hating left foaming at the mouth insane.

  2. America in general and Illinois in particular, is a dying mess.

No amount of yesteryear nostalgia will change that.

  3. Such a beautiful site!

    Goosebump inducing and pride boosting!

Throughout the year old Crystal Lake and Lakewood are a delicious slice of Americana.

This year it’s been taken to a new level by Pillars of Freedom who has lined a two minute stretch of picturesque streetscape, Lake Avenue, with American flags.

The red, white, and blue proudly stands among the thick emerald landscapes of the charming tree-lined community of Lakewood.

I particularly love it at dusk, with Lakeside Fest’s twinkling lights in the distance and the sun setting on Crystal Lake in the background.

    It’s a must see.

Take a ride and check it out!
