Because Andrew Breen has withdrawn from the Democratic Party ballot, District 4 Precinct Committeemen have the right to replace him on the ballot.
The following email came from Arne Waltmire, a man who ran for County Board there in 2014, concentrating his campaign on John Hammerand.
This is a notice of a special meeting of the Democratic Party of McHenry County for the County Board District 4, for the purpose of slating a candidate for County Board in District 4 to replace Andrew “Andy” Breen. Mr. Breen withdrew his candidacy on July 27, and therefore we must meet to slate his replacement NO LATER THAN August 4, according to state law. All elected and appointed Precinct Committeemen are eligible to cast a weighted vote at this meeting. Your attendance is appreciated. Please RSVP to awdw@waltmire.com
