Builders News reports a RE-MAX study showing that home sales were down from a year ago in Chicagoland, except for McHenry County:
“Only in McHenry County were sales higher in July, gaining 8%.
“In addition to the 9% sales decline in Cook, sales dipped 8% in Kane, 7% in Will, 4% in DuPage and Kendall, 1% in Lake and 11% in Chicago.”
Price increases in McHenry County over a year ago were lowest in McHenry County–up 3%.
White flight …. big deal.
The report states that in McHenry County the median sales price of attached homes was unchanged, while the median price in attached homes rose 7%.
