Scams and Fraud awareness presentation this Friday, 11:30 am at Senior Services in Crystal Lake, please RSVP

Please join the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and your friends at Senior Services on Friday, September 9, 2016
11:30 a.m., for an educational program on current scams and fraudulent activity happening here in McHenry County.

The guest presenter will be from the Illinois Attorney General’s Office and will speak about crimes of Identity Theft and Fraud.

Quarterly presentations are offered in partnership with Senior Services to provide information on current scams, fraud, and other crimes targeting seniors that arise during the fall and winter months.

Tips will be given on what to watch out for, how to protect yourself, and what to do if you become a victim.

This presentation is designed for all McHenry County residents.

Those who are caregivers to a senior or are a senior themselves are especially encouraged to participate because often seniors are the targeted victims.
