This youth was handing out cards promoting the Cal’s Angels pediatric cancer foundation 5K race in Huntley on October 2nd.

The place to sign up is calsangels.org/5K.

There’s also a two mile walk and kids’ fun run at Deicke Park.

Those who register before September 15 will receive a race shirt.

The inspiration for the foundation was a young man named “Cal,” the son of Tom and Tracy Sutter.

They lost their son to cancer in 2006.

“During his treatment,” the promotional piece says, “Cal always cared about others before himself. Cal’s kindness inspired Tom and Tracy to start a foundation that would grant wishes for kids fighting cancer and provide financial assistance to their families.”
