Wearing the tee shirt was John Pawlik of Johnsburg.
“I always make sure to tell the people that the quote is from a Shakespeare play,” Pawlik wrote.
What do you have when you put 1000 Lawyers at the bottom of the ocean?
‘A man is innocent until proven broke’.
This is the most misinterpreted quote of all time.
Read the play- the message was- if you want anarchy, first kill all the lawyers.
Shakespeare’s exact line
was stated by Dick the Butcher in ”Henry VI,” Part II, act IV, Scene II, Line 73.
Dick the Butcher was a follower of the rebel Jack Cade, who thought that if he disturbed law and order, he could become king.
Shakespeare meant it as a compliment to attorneys and judges who instill justice in society.
Guess that means that Franks, Walkup and Goat-mauler will soon be decedents …… Does Obama and Bill Clinton count? … they had to give up their law licenses.
