MCC Conservative Club Hosting Debate Party Tonight

Chris Wood of the Conservative Club at McHenry County College invites folks to join students at the final debate tonight at7:30 next to the cafeteria.

There will be pizza.

As far as I know, no Republican Party organization is sponsoring a debate party.

  1. I am surprised that no Republicans are sponsoring a “Debate Party”.

    Hmmm…

As Rush was saying this week, our current President lost the second debate, but he came back to win the third and the election.

Perhaps Mr. Gasser should have stepped up and invited you all over for pizza.

Just my thoughts, as I watch the Cub game.

  2. The Democrats are phone banking every Tuesday and knocking on doors every Sunday.

    Organized by the Party.

    What is the GOP doing?

When Republicans lose in November they can only blame themselves and their lackluster attitudes.

Just because McHenry County is supposedly Republican many belive they can be lazy.

It will be McHenry County GOP’s demise.

    Thank you for your comment.

Tonight I was “detained elsewhere” (Military Term).

Specifically, I was attending the McHenry County Veterans Assistance Commission meeting which is held on the third Wednesday of every month at 7PM.

Tonight’s meeting ran long as we had The Honorable Chief Judge Michael J. Sullivan and his team going over the current “Veterans Track” and the future Veterans Court.

There is so much work to do and I want to thank the presenters and the Chief Judge for taking time out of their night to come speak to us when they could have been watching the debate or the cubs.

Despite what some want to believe – the Republican Party is bigger than anyone person.

Whether that be Andrew Gasser, Bob Miller, Mike Tryon, Mark Daniel, Pam Althoff, Sandy Salgado, Carolyn Schofield, Paul D. Serwatka, or Geri Davis; the party is bigger than us all together or divided.

Now granted most people reading this just spit their coffee all over their monitors or iPhones but it is a true statement.

Whether any of us win… or lose… the party (and time) marches on.

    Leadership is leadership.

You can choose to follow – or not follow.

It is no secret to ANYONE in McHenry County I am not really a fan of the watch parties.

It never has been my thing (and you know this), yet the Algonquin Township Republicans did throw a wonderful watch party at Pablos!

It was fun and yes “tom” I did buy all the soft drinks.

Why didn’t you throw a party “tom” – or were you simply too busy watching the cubs?

Why didn’t any of the other candidates say “hey lets throw a presidential watch party at XXXXXXX”?

How about the other township chairs?

Sadly there are many Republicans who are simply “sitting this one out”.

    This is deplorable.

We have many great local candidates who need support and who are working hard… and then there are some who are hardly working.

Finally, there are always those who will “Monday Morning Quarterback” everything and when you lead you need to expect that.

    I certainly do.

I wish you would of thrown a bash and taken photos and sent it to Cal and then said something like “How come Mr. Gasser can’t throw a party like we can?”

“tom” I know you have my phone number and email… but in case you forgot my number (850)866-0155 and my email is andrew@andrewgasser.com.

I hope this answers your concerns about my personal well being this evening.

    Be Blessed,
    Andrew Gasser

  4. A. Gasser threw the second debate watch that was a success.

But being this close to the election I believe he and others found it more important to schedule SEVERAL other Republican events that will make a difference in the actual election and events that require team effort.

(Anyone can watch or record a tv program.) if you missed it, it’s on YouTube.

Few can: hold an event like he did yesterday that educated family members of all ages, then coordinate a campaign material drive, locate new prominent sign locations, pound in several candidates’ 4x4s with said candidates, and rally the troops for tonight’s event, and beyond, all in one day. And then get up and do what he’s doing today, tomorrow and every day up til voting day.

Not all, but most Republicans are kicking tail and taking names.

Just because you’re not privy to their action, doesn’t mean it’s not taking place.

I guess the fact that naysayers are behind their curt computer keyboards is evidence that They haven’t picked up the phone and put on their jackets.

The GOP isn’t going to be left behind. They’re just in stealth mode.

I’ll leave the giving up of actual security secrets to Hillary Clinton 😉
