More Dem Signs Sans Franks’

The last series of Democratic Party signs I published noted that Jack Franks’ was missing.

I wondered if that was because the homeowner was a Bernie Sanders supporter and Jack Franks had been a Hillary Clinton Delegate.

I was admonished in the comment section for not noting that there was a Clinton sign on the front lawn.

Here is another location with Democratic Party signs for candidates other than Jack Franks. Congressional candidate Jim Walz and State's Attorney Ray Flavin have courted local Democrats. There is no indication that Jack Franks is not flying alone, as he has in the past.

Readers of the Northwest Herald would have no idea that Franks was a Clinton Delegate both this year in 2008 when she ran against Barack Obama.

No article appeared in the NWH.

However, Bernie Sanders supporters might well know that Franks supported Clinton and still put up a Clinton sign.

At the last Democratic Party Central Committee in which I was allowed, the Sanders supporters were quite vehement that they would support Clinton over Donald Trump.

So, I still wonder if the lack of Jack Franks signs is an indication of continuing resentment on the part of Democratic Party activists.i

  1. Jack Franks, the Democrat who pretends to be a Republican but is a Democrat who called Governor Bruce Rauner a union buster.

Heaven forbid if there is an attempt to reign in union hikes.

  2. Jack Franks always has an excuse why he doesn’t support other McHenry County Democrats.

He was fine though with a photo op with Republican Governor Bruce Rauner and the Republican Woodstock Mayor.

That was before he called Governor Bruce Rauner a union buster.

  3. Again, you think the lack of Franks sign is because of his Clinton support.

    Yet there’s a Clinton sign.

    Your argument makes no sense.

  4. So you don’t think there might be some residual resentment?

I guess we are both welcome to our opinions.

  5. Flavin is not the State’s Attorney.

    Stop rigging this election.

  6. For marketing purposes, to attract Republican voters, Franks does not want to be associated with Clinton or any Democrat.

He figures most Democrats will vote for him rather than his Republican opponent no matter what he does.

  7. **So you don’t think there might be some residual resentment?**

    Cal’s logic:

    Bernie supporter: Go Bernie!

Jack Franks: I’m a Hillary delegate

Bernie supporter: Bernie lost, so I’m supporting Hillary!

I’m not just voting for her, but I’m even putting a yard sign in my yard to broadcast my support.

    But screw you, Hillary Delegate!

    Huh?

So no, I don’t think that there is any residual resentment about Franks’ being a Hillary delegate among Dems who are supporting Hillary Clinton.

  8. The story is the lack of Franks signs near Democrat signs.

And a sub story is the Franks campaign placing signs on the lawns of those who did not ask for a Franks sign, with a note that if you don’t want the sign, give us a call.

  9. So what is the reason for the lack of Jack Franks signs next to those of other Democratic Party signs…except for the Franks and John Bartman signs I saw two State Rep. districts from where Bartman is running (in Cary on the road between Cary and Algonquin, for instance))?

  10. Jack Franks and John Bartman are friends so that is one exception to the unwritten rule, no Jack Franks signs near Democrat signs.

It is a political marketing strategy to obtain Republican votes.
