Jack McArdle, proprietor of Joe’s Barber Shop, called me to let me know that he had a photo at his establishment which he believed to be of the oldest Cubs fan in Crystal Lake.
It’s of Kess Kessler, former Guidance Counselor at Crystal Lake Central High School. (Or was it Crystal Lake Community High School when he worked there?)
In any event, below you can see Kessler, now 101 years old, with his Cubs cap:
