Message of the Day – God’s Laughter

The first part of Psalm 2 seems appropriate for this Presidential Election (emphasis added):

Why do the nations rage
and the peoples plot in vain?

The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying,
“Let us burst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us.”

He who sits in the heavens laughs,
the Lord holds them in derision.

  1. Just look at McHenry County blog comments – God is laughing his ass off!!

Some attempt to educate while others deride.

  2. Me thinks you missed the point of the Psalm, Connect. Your judgemental statement obliterates the meaning behind this prophetic verse. The last verse before this one states:”For the Lord knoweth they way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.” He is NOT laughing at any blog! Keep reading to the end of the second Psalm for further insight.

  3. God’s in control is the meaning of this and doesn’t need our opinion.

I don’t think He is laughing but I think He smiles a lot.

  4. “I am the punishment of God … if you had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you.”

    Genghis Khan

  5. Cindy:

Don’t give away the plot ….. you’ll spoil the movie for the electorate.
