Lying Jack Franks Cut 10 campaign promise is a bait and switch.

All of them have the scissors cutting through the home local promising to cut property taxes NOW 10%.

That’s his bait and switch “Cut 10” campaign, which, of course, cannot be fulfilled by someone who will have no control over school budgets, which make up the bulk of one’s real estate tax bill.

Today’s email was sent on October 28th–last Friday.

It makes an even more audacious claim than the Franks will somehow magically cut our property tax bills by 10%.

NO MORE HIGH PROPERTY TAXES IN MCHENRY COUNTY!

the headline screams.

  2. Democrat Jack Franks v Republican Mike Walkup for inaugural voter elected McHenry County Board Chair.

Until this year, the 24 (6 districts, 4 members each) voter elected McHenry County Board members have internally elected one of their own for Board Chair.

Democrat Jack Franks would never become board chair in the current Board as every board member is Republican.

Prior to the current term, the board was overwhelmingly Republican.

So first Jack Franks proposed changing the form of government to County Executive, and having the County Executive voter elected.

That measure was rejected by voters on November 6, 2012, in no small part to a debate Jack Franks lost to current 66th District State Representative Michael Tryon.

Michael Tryon is not running for re-election this term, and it is Nancy Zettler v Allen Skillicorn in the upcoming 66th District State Representative election.

Next Jack Franks advocated that McHenry County Board have an elected county board chair, and that measure was passed by voters on March 18, 2014.

Next Jack Franks advocated adding the following two advisory referendums to the upcoming election ballot:

    – Converting the County Board from 6 districts / 4 members each to 16 districts / 1 member each.

    – Prohibiting property tax hikes if EAV falls.

While lobbying for those 2 advisory refrendums, Jack Franks was quoted by Kevin Craver of the Daily Herald:

    Daily Herald

Franks Asks County for 2 Advisory Referendums

    June 6, 2014

    by Kevin Craver

“Franks made clear that he is not pushing for County Board changes as an effort to run for the chairman’s seat in two years, following the footsteps of former state senators Chris Lauzen and Dan Cronin, now chairmen of the Kane and DuPage county boards.

‘What I’m trying to do is reduce our property taxes in McHenry COunty and make it livable so people don’t leave,’ Franks said.

‘I can promise you I am not running for county chairman in 2016.

This has nothing to do with me.

    This is about good government.'”

  5. Really the more he claims he can do something about it as County board Chairman, the more people will see he’s full of $h!+

He doesn’t even get a vote and the whole portion of our tax bills for the county is only 10%.

What’s he going to do-cut every service, every employee, every piece of real estate, equipment, law enforcement, hospital etc?

Thus the website LyingJackFranks.com I guess. WAKE UP PEOPLE!

This politician is a slick willy snake oil salesman and hack!

(gotta wonder how his wife can stand knowing she’s married to a lying POS) or maybe she tows the line to be a Madigan Mobster’s wife.
