Cal, your thermometer is in two degree increments – there’s ten lines for every twenty degrees.
Thus, four lines above ten wouldn’t be 14, it would either be 18 or -2.
Since the “0” is just to the left of the top of the red, the temperature on your gauge must have been -2.
After a certain temperature, it’s just arctic!
So much for that global warming!
