Crystal Lake Park District’s Main Beach where the windows and doors you see have been recently replaced.
Three four-year are seats up in April.
Four candidates are running for them:
- Caroline Bachour Chemaly
- Shawn Zimmerman
- Thomas Aquilina
- Michele Hartwig
All are incumbents except Zimmerman.
In addition, there is a two-year term for which no one has filed.
The election is to be held Tuesday April 4, 2017, although there is no competition.
The Crystal Lake Park Board of Commissioners consists of 7 members.
Presumably one member is retiring from the board, opening the 2 year spot for which there is currently no candidate?
The 2016 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the park district contains the following sentence:
“The benefits, benefit levels, employee contributions and employer contributions are governed by the District and can be amended by the District through its personnel manual and union contracts.”
What union contracts?
The whole park district is a huge scam.
It should completely fall into oblivion.
All they do is up the fees to taxpayers that should own all of those properties in ‘their kingdom’.
They will never be held accountable for anything.
The courts will not touch them.
They are running a fiefdom.
I stay away from them like the toxic poison they are.
