I’m 80 years old, and grew up in Chicago. It was Democrat then as now. Nothing ever changes, only the faces. It is still corrupt after all these years and will remain so until the coming of the Lord. Remember, you can always tell a Democrat, but not much.
Having said that, the whippersnappers of this county better wise up as the current “Leadership” is exactly of the same ilk and mold. If people want a ” Fair and balanced” government, they had better look deeply into the backgrounds of every candidate before a decision is made.
Or do the people here really want another Chicago?

Looks like it’s the 80’s..I’m 81 and from uptown Chicago. moving to the NW suburbs before coming to McHenry County .45 years ago .Honest Abe is correct…I remember those were scary days working the night shift at Belmont and Kimball…the thugs were not afraid they taunted the National Guard and kept rioting and looting until the Old Man said shoot to kill…the next morning ..peace and quite……in those days the police were instructed to say halt or I’ll shoot and to fire a warning shot..the thug new that and most of them would not run…And they need to reinstall the “stop and frisk” law give a bonus to all cops who turn in guns from they get from street searches..Chicago also had the T.U.F. Squad about 100 three wheeler s into a neighbors hood….stopping and searching everyone…

Wow, Bill. Small – very small world. My husband also worked the night shift at good old I.S. (As did my previous husband – long deceased.) Good to hear some of the old “gang” are still kicking. In the No, Honest, and Bill are great sources for wisdom. They certainly speak the truth about the experience of Chicago. I can vouch for them all. I would stand with those three against any social justice warriors.

I would suggest that the problem lies with the male population which has been feminized to the point of embarrassment.
The male population of our country has been ‘neutered’.
We have a ‘few good old men’ left but for the most part, the male population of our country has been taken over by their ‘feminine’ side.
The one exception is the male ‘refugee’ component of our country.
Add rural America to where some boys are still being raised by men to be men. Trump was elected by rural America and those who are not confused about their individual identity and responsibilities. As long as a Free People exist the ones desiring centralized power through control of the weak will lose. There are less and less Free Citizens left. Those wishing for the destruction of America’s experiment have nearly brainwashed and impoverished enough to win. Nearly. We believe freedom is the basest natural desire of all creatures. We shall see if we retain the courage to keep it or if we will fall to the powers who tell us freedom is conformity to one thought process. CV is very right. Immigrants know the horrors of one people trying to destroy another to only allow one thought process. They seek the freedom to simply exist and thrive.
