This morning attorney Mark Facchini was sworn in as an Associate Judge of the McHenry County Circuit Court.Prior to being appointed an Associate Judge for the Twenty-Second Judicial Circuit of McHenry County, Illinois, Mark Facchini was a trial attorney with the felony practice group of Donahue & Walsh, P.C. Mark’s practice focused on the defense of people charged with felonies, white collar crimes and driving under the influence.
Mark tried over 119 felony and misdemeanor cases to a jury verdict throughout northern Illinois.
Mark tried hundreds of bench trials and conducted countless evidentiary and procedural hearings before judges.
In addition to criminal defense, Mark also defended individuals’ rights to money and property seized by the government in criminal cases.
In addition to defending private clients, Mark also defended indigent persons as a court appointed special public defender.
Mark graduated with High Honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2002.
While at Kent, Mark served on the Chicago-Kent Law Review and worked as a teaching assistant in the area of criminal law.
Following graduation, the Chicago-Kent faculty elected Mark to the Order of Coif, a law school honor society.
Mark graduated cum laude from Northeastern Illinois University in 1999.
Mark is a 1995 graduate of St. Patrick’s High School in Chicago, Illinois.
Prior to joining Donahue & Walsh in 2006, Mark associated with the law firm of Foley & Lardner, in Chicago, Illinois in the civil litigation practice group.
Following Foley & Lardner, Mark served the citizens of McHenry County as an Assistant State’s Attorney from 2003 to 2006.
