Domestic Dispute Shooting in Oakwood Hills

From the Village of Oakwood Hills:

Chief Valiza Nash of the Oakwood Hills Police Department advised, officers responded to the 5500 block of Greenview Road, with the assistance of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department, in reference to a person being shot.

Upon arrival, officer’s learned there had been a domestic dispute which led to at least one shot being fired. One person was transported to NIMC Emergency Room with a gunshot wound to the arm, and was later transported to Lutheran General in critical but stable condition.

Weapons were removed from the residence.

This incident has been reviewed with the McHenry County State’s Attorney Office with possible charges pending.

  1. Funny, there were no Oakwood Hills Police officers to respond at the time of the call, they were closed for the night.

    They’re hard up, rehired the officer they fired.
