McHenry Grade School District Fails to Respond to Open Meetings Complaint

McHenry Elementary School District 15 met behind closed doors in a manner which member Erik Sivertsen deemed inappropriate.

He filed a complaint with the Public Access Division of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.

The AG’s Office asked for a responsea month ago.

So far, as the letter below indicates, no reply has been made by the school district:

  1. Someone needs to remind someone that there are criminal consequences as well as civil…

    (5 ILCS 120/4) (from Ch. 102, par. 44)
    Sec. 4. Any person violating any of the provisions of this Act, except subsection (b), (c), (d), (e), or (f) of Section 1.05, shall be guilty of a Class C misdemeanor.

  2. …..the school district board rats (Sivertsen and Jaeger excepted) believe they’re above the law which is for ‘little people’ like the taxpayer.

    They must be brought to heel.
