Half Million Donated Anonymously to Support Agriculture Programs at McHenry County College — 9 Comments

  1. This is GREAT news for MCC as well as the ag community!

I have been hoping that McHenry Co could be the state leader in industrial hemp research.

For those readers who have little understanding of hemp, please understand that hemp has been prohibited to grow since 1937 under the guise that it is a dangerous drug that Mexicans and Africans use to become crazy and commit heinous crimes. ALL B.S. OF COURSE!

Coincidentally, the synthetic fiber industry was in its infancy and needed to kill the competition from natural oil-seed and fiber sources. Hemp is the best producer of oil and fiber.

For more info. on this truly remarkable plant, please see

BTW The last time Illinois had a chance to research hemp farming, then former governor/ex-con/pharmacist George Ryan VETOED the bill, killing the hope of a U of I test plot.

(Pharmacists HATE the idea of natural medicines) and yes Hemp has medicinal compounds called CBD!

Some states have allowed trial plots of hemp, it is time McHenry Co lead the way in ILLINOIS!

  2. Anonymous?

But you can be sure the donation will appear on some tax return.

The laugh will be on the donor when the money is misused for some libtard purpose or cause. ie., courses like

‘Cesar Chavez: A Great Communist and Community Organizer (who never worked a day in agriculture)’; or scholarship for grandchildren of illegal migrant agricultural workers.

How about funding the MCC LGBTQ Pinwheels Club

  3. Good point OMW, perhaps there are some stipulations on how the money
    is to be used.

    Worth checking into ?

    I’d say it is.

  4. If I recall correctly, the last time MCC got a bunch of free money, enrollment spiked, MCC’s operating expenses ballooned.

Once the free tuition money evaporated, the taxpayer was left holding the bag on an over-inflated cost structure.

  5. My compassionate conservative friends are so fanatically opposed to educating the youth that even an anonymous donation to help an MCC education program infuriates them. Have you heard the “do not raise my taxes” excuse? Too many times, but we know the real reason. It is crystal clear here. We know them too well. See a teacher? Thank a teacher! 2018, are you here yet? Tic, tock, tic, tock…
