Illinois Senate Approves Transgender Birth Certificates — Contact Gov. Rauner!

HB 1785 passed in the Illinois State Senate by a vote of 32-22

Please call the governor!

HB 1785 passed last week in the House by 63-32 and late Wednesday night it passed in the Illinois Senate by a vote of 32-22.  (Roll calls below.)

HB 1785 will allow a gender-dysphoric person to change their gender on their birth certificate, which is both a legal and historical document.

This will have consequences with regard to the relentless cultural assault on physical privacy through the sexual integration of previously sex-segregated spaces.

Simply put, biologically intact men will have legal access to women’s restrooms, locker rooms, dressing rooms, shelters, semi-private hospital rooms, nursing home rooms, and prisons.

Thirty votes are needed for passage in the Illinois Senate.

This bill was passed along party lines without one Republican vote, and four Democrats not voting on this controversial proposal.  See the full roll-call below.

Now that it has passed in both chambers, it will be sent to Governor Bruce Rauner. Once he receives it, he will have 60 days to veto or sign it. If he does nothing, it automatically becomes law.

Take ACTION: Click HERE to email Governor Bruce Rauner to urge him to veto HB 1785 and uphold birth certificates as the historical legal documents they were intended to be.

PLEASE ALSO CALL THE GOVERNOR’S OFFICE at (217) 782-0244 and/or (312) 814-2121.

The state of Illinois has no duty or right to be complicit in fraud by making it easier for men and women who wish they were the opposite sex to falsify their birth certificates, nor should Illinois public policy affirm deceit.

  1. No Cindy, just the DEMOCRATS and RINOS.
But that’s enough to cause unnecessary trouble for the rest of us.

  2. And we can thank Madelyn Murray O’Hare for starting this whole cabal. Oh, nevermind. She’s dead! Just like all of us will be if we don’t get smart real fast.

  3. The truly insane are those still caught in the Republican/Democrat paradigm.

How long are you going to play by stupid party rules before you realize that it’s a facade and it’s all part of the greater problem.

  4. Republicans continue to blame “rinos” for their abysmal record… in the meantime Jack Franks is the only one even attempting to bring any real reform to McHenry County

  5. “Real Reform” ?

Evidence of a prescription for the funny looking cigarettes?

  6. Statements such as: “How long are you going to play by stupid party rules before you realize that it’s a facade and it’s all part of the greater problem.” are a cop out for the real problem.

The real problem is state and federal election law.

Just ask Ron Paul and Ross Perot.

Who creates and controls those laws?

The Republican and the Democrat elected officials.

Only one way to change those laws – from within.

Refusing to work to wrest control of those parties from the elite is refusing to rescue our country and in my opinion, cowardly.

  7. Can’t schluff off all your McProblems on the federal government. If that were the case people wouldn’t be moving away from this county and state and choosing other places.

  8. Thanks to Jack, people are likely going to see a significant cut.

What was it that Republicans on the board brag about so often? “We didn’t capture the inflation that we’re legally allowed to take.”

Which is better, cutting taxes or not ripping off taxpayers by as much as state law permits?

  9. Conservative voter, thousands of man hours went into bringing “reform” to the McHenry County Republican Party.

Are we really any closer to anything better today than we were four years ago?

In the meantime we have seen the end of IMRF Pensions for County board members, BROUGHT ABOUT BY THE LEADERSHIP OF A SINGLE DEMOCRAT.

This after the far majority of Republicans fought against ending them.

We are now looking at the very real possibility of substantive tax cuts, not just from the county, but even municipalities are beginning to feel some pressure to reduce their levies…

And this too has only been brought to us by the leadership of a single Democrat!

Judging by actual results of McHenry County politics, if I had to choose a party based on results vs empty rhetoric, I’d say perhaps we’re better off going with the Democrats.

  10. Besides JACK FRANKS had no plan whatsoever with this cut! It has been mostly staff that came up with these ideas not him!

He had no idea what to do when he got in!

He didn’t know how to run a meeting and still doesn’t.

  11. Real Reform you say is a joke! Lets look at the facts!

Fact one is that Jack Franks is collecting over $55,000 in retirement in a underfunded Legislative Pension!

Who pays for that the taxpayers.

IN 20 YRS. JACK FRANKS WILL BE MAKING OVER $110,000 IN RETIREMENT TO THE TAXPAYERS.

AND YOUR WORRIED ABOUT A COUNTY BOARD MEMBER GETTING MAYBE $3k A YR. LOL

The County Board combined would not reach that amount in a year for a pension and have to be vested for 10 yrs or more.

Plus Jack Franks gets a nice 3% increase every yr til he is dead!

Second Jack Franks isn’t doing anything to reform the County.

He is basically taking funds mostly from funds that are built up reserves that fiscally responsible dept. figured it out.

The ones that didn’t are not getting punished.

This is a ONE YES ONE YEAR TAX ABATEMENT!

THERE ARE NO TRY CUTS COMING OUT OF THE COUNTY!

WHen Jack Franks wanted to put the NONBINDING AMENDMENT FOR LOWER TAXES CRAIG WILCOX ASKED THE CHAIRMAN TO MAKE IT BINDING AND HE BACKED DOWN!

THE ONLY THING JACK FRANKS WANTS IS MORE POWER!

Now lets look at his patronage hires.

Oh yeah those people that cost the taxpayers about $150,000 in taxpayer money every year!

That will be an extra $600,000 over a 4 yr. term.

Oh yeah the Resolution he refuses to bring forward that was not passed in Internal Services and HR Committees!

Quit looking at the surface and dig a little deeper!

Also understand that JACK FRANKS COST THE STATE OF ILLINOIS TAXPAYERS BILLIONS YES BILLIONS OF DOLLARS WHEN HE AND MIKE MADIGAN VOTED NOT TO FUND THE TEACHERS PENSION BACK IN THE MID 2000’S!

I AM NOT SURE WHAT REFORM JACK DOES BUT IT NEVER IS FOR THE TAXPAYERS!

ONE WAY OR ANOTHER IT’S ABOUT POWER AND HOW MUCH JACK FRANKS CAN GET!

Jack is a master Politician know that is a FACT!

  12. Jack Franks is not old enough to get his legislative pension.
