Republican District 6 County Board candidate Orville Brettman announced his candidacy via robo-call last night.
Here is the text of his message:
Hi .. My name is Orville Brettman and I’m running for the McHenry Country Board.Orville Brettman
Today June 5th is the deadline for paying your McHenry County tax bills first payment.
The County’s portion of our bills is 4% higher than last year and a good part of that problem lies right here in District 6.
When the tax levy was passed in November, only 6 true conservative members of the board voted against the increase. ……..
14 liberal members voted to increase the rates including 4 who were retiring.
Of the 14 who voted to increase your taxes two are from the 6th district.
Both are running for re-election.

Orv is a great guy and has been fighting taxes as an ordinary working citizen for years, now retired he wants to get more involved. Orv will not be a spender.
