Two Morotcyclists Identified Who Died at Algonquin Road On-Ramp to Route 31 — 4 Comments

  1. This accident was devastating to my wife and I.

Although we don’t know these people, we felt a special kinship to them because we also ride BMW.

As motorcyclists also, this just should not have happened.

There were no other vehicles involved and the accident took place on the on ramp to the Route 31 bypass.

Possibly the driver took the curve too fast, or he may have swerved to avoid something, it appears to have been completely avoidable.

I would like to know more about the circumstances of this accident so that other bikers can learn from this tragic mistake.

There is simply no excuse for riding beyond one’s skill set, or not having the training to operate a high-powered motorcycle, especially when a passenger’s life is in the driver’s hands.

Our most fervent condolences to the families of both Mr. Erickson and Ms. Eisner.

  2. Motorcyclists confound me.

They have next to nothing to protect themselves on the road.

So many, many moron drivers out there … why do the cyclists chance it?

Probability always catches up with you.

All my motorcyclist friends around my age have canes!

    And I’m in my mid-forties.
