Conservatives Set August Training Conference

Conservative activists are holding a training session during the third week of August, the details of which are below:

Strategy 2017: From Outrage to Action, August 18-19, 2017

(Elmhurst, IL) Illinoisans were outraged over the Independence Day holiday on learning that Mike Madigan’s Illinois General Assembly had passed a 32% increase in personal income taxes (a 40% increase in business taxes!) without including a single reform geared to making state government more efficient or accountable.

No reform of the hemorrhaging state employee pension system was enacted. Can we expect anything different from what has gone before – taxpayers and businesses continuing to flee the state to escape the terrible economic climate, increasing the burden on those who remain?

A statewide coalition of conservative groups has gathered under the banner of Illinois Conservatives United (dot ORG).

The first effort of the coalition, an August 18-19 conference, “Strategy 2017: From Outrage to Action,“ begins Friday at 11:00 at the Diplomat West in Elmhurst with registration and a noon to 6:00 pm training.

Instructors from American Majority will train activists on the nuts and bolts of getting reform candidates in office, who will hit the ground running for the September petition season.

Trainer Matt Batzel made a HUGE difference in Wisconsin when Scott Walker was under attack in the Wisconsin recall effort.

The Friday afternoon session will be followed by the conference Meet and Greet from 6:00-8:00 pm. The all day Saturday conference begins with 8:00 registration and continental breakfast.

The morning keynote speaker will be Catherine Engelbrecht, founder of True the Vote, with several election integrity sessions to follow her presentation. Engelbrecht has twice testified before the Congress concerning the 2010-2014 IRS Scandal.

The newly appointed President of the Heartland Institute, former Kansas 1st District Congressman Tim Huelskamp, will be luncheon speaker.

The afternoon sessions will be social media training and a session entitled “Lightning Round: SOLUTIONS” consisting of short, fast-paced presentations from organizations with REAL solutions to present day problems.

The dynamic Reverend C.L. Bryant will headline the 5:00 pm dinner. Formerly President of the Garland, Texas NAACP, Bryant became disillusioned with the uniformity of thought demanded by the group, and found himself moving to the right in his political thinking. Bryant, a favorite FreedomWorks speaker, released the film “Red, White and Black” in 2016.

West Suburban Patriots, located in Wheaton/Carol Stream and incorporated as a 501-C4 not for profit and an Illinois Certified Bona Fide Civic Organization, is handling the financial aspects of the conference. Among the co-sponsors of the conference are FreedomWorks, American Majority and Illinois Family Action.

Persons registering at IllinoisConservativesUnited.ORG by Aug. 3 will get Early Bird pricing of $50 Friday and $75 Saturday. Friday evening Meet & Greet cost of $20 is included in the Friday activist training.

Student prices are offered both days and scholarships will be offered.

A special Friday room rate of $99 is available to those attending the conference at the adjoining Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Elmhurst/Oakbrook Area. Call (630) 941-9444, and press 2 for reservation desk. Identify yourself as with the conference. There are opportunities for sponsorship and exhibitors are welcome. 1. ” Mike Madigan’s Illinois General Assembly had passed a 32% increase in personal income taxes” ??

I could’ve sworn there were a handful of Republicans in there who made it possible.

  2. Actually it was all the public service unions and the gimmedats who vote DEMOCRAT.

Were it not for them there would be no Mike Madigan, or backstabbing RINO’s.
