A resolution to be considered in the Human Resources Committee next Wednesday, October 4th, would keep salaries for county officials up for election constant.
The amounts proposed follow:
- Sheriff – $149,390.90
- Clerk – $109,465.98
- Treasurer – $109,465.98
We need to do the same with ALL County Union contracts!!

I thought that the reason for the fat benefit package (health care/pension/etc.)
supposedly was to reimburse poor elected officials who could make more in the private sector.
Seems to me this has gotten out of hand now.
