Candidates, their supporters and Woodstock-area precinct committeemen made it to the third floor banquet room of the Pour House across from Woodstock’s movie theater Wednesday night.

Judicial candidates abounded with three of four seeking the countywide seat

  • Demetri Tsilimingis
  • Tiffany Davis
  • Robert Wilbrandt

and the two running for the western McHenry County subcircuit

In addition, unopposed candidates for countywide office were in attendance:

  • Glenda Miller, County Treasurer
  • Leslie Schermerhorn, Regional Superintendent of Schools
  • Joe Tirio, County Clerk

Standing together are McHenry County Board members Joe Gottemoller and John Jung, appointed Circuit Court Judge Tiffany Davis, running for the office, and her husband Dan Regna.

  • Michael Rein

Nick Provenzano, Congressman Randy Hultgren’s assistant also attended.

McHenry County College Board member Karen Tirio was mistress of ceremonies in her role as Dorr Township Republican Party Chairman.

Most of those attending were stalwarts, but there was one new young face belonging to Sam Reuter.

Committeeman and former McHenry County Board member Virginia Pescke introduced him as her successor in one of the Bull Valley precincts.

  1. Why was John “Cryin’ Onion-Baby” Jung there?

    He ain’t a Republican.

    He’s a Franks’ minion and ‘special confidant’ of Brian ‘Mr. LGBT’ Sager, Lord Mayor of Woodstock.

    [He’s also an admitted sexagenarian and inveterate taxoholic!]

  2. Where are all of the women?

    Was one of them slurring her words?

    Was the chairman wearing her tinfoil hat?
