Equal Means Equal, a documentary urging the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment will be presented Thursday October 19th 6:30 p.m. in B166-167, MCC.
This ERA button says, “Ratify ERA in 1975.”
EQUAL MEANS EQUAL offers an unflinching look at how women are treated in the United States today.
Examining both real-life stories and precedent-setting legal cases, director Kamala Lopez uncovers how outdated and discriminatory attitudes inform and influence seemingly disparate issues, from workplace harassment to domestic violence, rape and sexual assault to the foster care system, and the healthcare conglomerate to the judicial system.
Along the way, she reveals the inadequacy of present laws that claim to protect women, ultimately presenting a compelling and persuasive argument for the urgency of ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment.

Section 2. The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.
Section 3. This amendment shall take effect two years after the date of ratification.
Go ahead and pass it.
We could use the ERA to end gender based set asides for government contracts, and differing gender based physical fitness standards in public safety jobs and the military.
No more affirmative action based on gender, either.
Back when they were trying to pass the ERA, I remember that everyone seemed to be more worried about mixed gender public bathrooms than anything else.
The transgender community has already blown that issue up anyways, so I don’t see what difference it makes now.
The senate and house resolution drafts now pending are similar.

Where was this group over the last few decades when powerful men in Hollywood take advantage of young women wanting acting and musical jobs and careers.
There is plenty they can work on over there in Hollywood where the vast majority of those taking advantage of women are liberals and Democrats such as the current guy in the news named Harvey.
Many women have come forward about the abuse they sustained from this guy.
This guy also was a friend of the Obamas and the Clintons, raised huge cash for Hillary and Obama.
That’s not decades, bred. That’s since the beginning of time. And why did the “abused” women and boys and children not speak up sooner? ERA is a sham. So are the whores in Hellywood that want your sympathy now.

He “actually” and in fact, violated women.
He took advantage of a very young woman the age of his daughter in the White House, and other women.
That woman was barely out of her teen years.
He had sex with her in the oval office.
He left a stain on the blue dress of this very young woman.
He, the most powerful man in the world, was compromised and could have easily been blackmailed.
He was reckless.
Bill violated a woman named Paula Jones in Arkansas while he was a public official.
He eventually had to pay her $800,000 as settlement of his violation.
A business woman in Arkansas said on an hour long news special on network tv that Bill raped her.
Bill was an elected official at the time. The host of the tv news special was a prominent woman reporter.
Bill violated and groped a woman named Kathleen Willie in the White House during his second term in office.
She had Democratic affiliations and was a volunteer working in the White House.
Bill had an affair with a woman well before he ran for the presidency and this was known before the November 1992 election.
But, the fawning and liberal media made light of this and said it was a private matter and the knucklehead voters elected this guy anyway.
The liberal media and Hollywood types have for years made light of men, sometimes much older men, violating very young women.
A young actress in the 1980’s named Molly has recently wrote in a publication that she was violated at times during filming of shows, movies in Hollywood.
She was 13, 14 at the time.
The vast majority of Hollywood entertainment people are liberals and Democrats and have supported inept and incompetent people such as Obama and Hillary.
There have been many pictures and videos of Harvey of Hollywood seen with both Barack Obama and Michelle Obama and also with Hillary Clinton and super Democrat apologiser, Whoopi Goldberg.
It is interesting that Bill Clinton is in hiding and has not been seen on national tv since the matter about Harvey of Hollywood violating women became a big news item.
Have not seen Bill standing next to Hillary while she speaks about her phony and disingenuous SHOCK about the Hollywood guy violating women.
How phony is this woman in speaking out now in not referencing her own husband who violated women a number of times.

ERA is a concept that got less support the more the public found out about it.
Six states rescinded their ratification before in expired.
More states rescinded ratification than ratified after the first year.
It has no chance now.
