Hultgren Supports Stiffer Sanctions on Iran

A press release from Congressman Randy Hultgren:

Hultgren Supports Bill Targeting Suppliers of Iran’s Illicit Ballistic Missile Program

Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Randy Hultgren (IL-14) today supported House passage of H.R. 1698, the Iran Ballistic Missiles and International Sanctions Enforcement Act, which expands sanctions again Iran for its illicit ballistic missile program.

“Iran’s dangerous pursuit of ballistic missiles that can reach the United States and our allies around the world must be stopped,” said Rep. Hultgren.

“UN Security Council Resolutions call upon Iran ‘not to undertake any activity related to ballistic missiles designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons,’ yet Iran has conducted numerous tests of such missiles with the aim of doing just that.

“This legislation implements a comprehensive investigation to identify and sanction the companies, banks and individuals within and without Iran which supply the regime’s weapons programs.

“I urge the Senate and the President to take strong steps to stop Iran’s threat to our national security.”

  1. A good position by Hultgren. The inept Obama and his Administration gave away the store when they agreed to the nuclear deal with Iran. The US and other nations were hoodwinked by Iran. They let Iran declare that all of their military installations were off limits to the inspectors.

  2. While the inept Obama and John Kerry were making the bad deal with Iran, the leaders of that Country were issuing death threats to the US and Israel.
