Woodstock Laundromat Burglary Conviction

A press release from the Office of State’s Attorney Patrick Kenneally:

KENNETH S. NEPRAS FOUND GUILTY OF BURGLARY

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that 26-year-old Kenneth S. Nepras of Rockford, Illinois, was found guilty following a jury trial for the offense of burglary.

On May 5, 2017 around 5:00 a.m. Nepras entered the Eastwood Laundromat located at 450 S. Eastwood Drive, Woodstock, Illinois.

Nepras kicked down an office door once inside the laundromat, causing damage.

Defendant was located while the burglary was in progress by the Woodstock Police Department in a restricted area of the office near the coin machines.

Nepras faces penalties that range from three to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Sentencing is scheduled for January 3, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. before the Honorable Judge Cowlin.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorneys Mary Ann Scholl and Victor Escarcida. The case was investigated by the Woodstock Police Department.
