Crystal Lake Police Arrest Man After Robbery
December 30th, 2017, at approximately 2:09 am Crystal Lake Police were called to the Open Pantry, 4811 Northwest Highway for a report of a robbery.
A clerk at the store reported a male entered the business and demanded money and merchandise.
The clerk complied with the demands and the male fled the business on foot.
No one was injured during the incident, and the male subject was not armed.
Crystal Lake Police, while being assisted by a K-9 unit from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, tracked the suspect to his residence in a near by neighborhood.
Joshua Wilson
As a result, Joshua D. Wilson (32), of Crystal Lake was arrested and charged with1 count of
- Robbery 720 ILCS 5/18-1 (Class 2 Felony) and
- Burglary 720 ILCS 5/19-1(a) (Class 2 Felony).
He was transported to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.
The McHenry County States Attorney’s Office and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation as well.
Although the offender has been arrested, the investigation is ongoing and active.
Suspect(s) listed are considered innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.

He will be prosecuted and if guilty punished.
If here illegally he should be deported after his sentence is complete.
