Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child Arrest

On Monday, December 4th, 2017, the Woodstock Police Department’s Investigations Division was
informed by Centegra Hospital (Huntley) of a sexual assault allegation involving a juvenile female, under the age of thirteen.

After an initial preliminary investigation, a member from a multidisciplinary team from the Woodstock Police Department’s Investigation Division, the McHenry County Child Advocacy Center (CAC), and the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office met at the CAC.

The CAC conducted a forensic interview with the juvenile victim. During the interview the victim disclosed that the suspect had committed an act of sexual assault on her on multiple occasions.

Daniel Pollet

The suspect was identified as 35 year old Woodstock resident, Daniel W. Pollet, who is known by the victim’s family.

Upon conferring with the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office, one count of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child and two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse were approved against him.

On January 3rd, 2018, Pollet was taken into custody without incident at the Walworth County Courthouse in Walworth, WI, while attending a court case separate from this incident.

He remains in custody at the Walworth County Jail at this time, awaiting extradition to Illinois.
