Illinois Sheriffs’ Association Scholarship Available Through Sheriff Prim’s Office

McHenry County Sheriff Bill Prim announced today that the Illinois Sheriffs’ Association will be awarding over $54,000 in college scholarships throughout the State of Illinois to students wishing to pursue higher education during 2018-2019 academic years.

Sheriff Prim will be awarding (1) scholarship in the amount of $500.00

The Scholarship is to be applied to tuition, books and fees only.

The students must be enrolled full-time at a certified institution of higher learning within the State of Illinois.

There will be no restriction on any applicant by reason of race, age, creed, color, sex or national origin.

The only limitation is as follows:

-Applicants must be permanent Illinois residents
-Applicants applying to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office for this scholarship must be residents of McHenry County
-Scholarship must be utilized at institutions of higher learning within the State of Illinois
-Students must be enrolled full-time during the 2018-2019 school year (excluding summer session)

Applications are now available at the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office or online at www.ilsheriff.org

Students must complete the application, answer the essay question and return all documentation to the McHenry County Sheriff’s office by March 12, 2018 (must be postmarked by this date).
