Four Political Events Scheduled While the Weather Calls for Snow
Thursday is packed with political events to attend, unfortunately there’s an 80 % chance of snow.
The first event is Robert Wilbrandt’s $50 per person fundraiser held at Stage Left Café in Woodstock from 5:30pm-7:30pm.
The second event is Chuck Wheeler’s 6:00pm-8:00pm fundraiser at Bulldog Ale House in McHenry. Suggested donation is $25 and $15 for Precinct Committeemen.
The third that may interest some is the 7:00pm McHenry County Township meeting in which trustees will again vote on road district consolidation.
The fourth event is a candidate forum for McHenry County Clerk hosted by the League of Women voters from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at McHenry County College. There will be a meet-and-greet at 6:30 p.m., followed by the forum at 7 p.m.

Chuck Wheeler’s event is the only one with republicans.
Yeah the League of Woman voters is a liberal Dem group, but they don’t endorse anyway. Tirio would have been the Republican in that forum but the forum has been canceled. Go to Wheeler’s fundraiser!
Willbrandt fundraiser actually featured snack bowls filled with Ritalin pills.
When I was asked if this was legal, his campaign mgr. said its was “OK” and “It’s really quite necessary to keep people awake!”
