  1. I can’t believe she’s bringing in the RINO who tried to give Big Chief Many Chins control of all the committees on the County Board.

McConnaughay certainly wouldn’t be my choice for a featured speaker if I wanted to get elected in this county.

That bill she proposed even alienated the majority of the Quislings on the Board.

  2. If Sen Mac is going to speak, someone should ask her what was the deal behind that bill, why she voted “present” on her own bill, and is she going to support a redux of it next year?

The candidate should also be asked if she is going to support giving the Chairman more power over the Board.

  3. Leslie Melendy promises more of the kind of government that has left Illinois circling the drain.

  4. Correction made, citizen editor.

I get such a kick out of candidates who think their district number means anything to the average voter.

  5. I just want someone who’s pragmatic on the county board. Is that too much to ask that County Board people not be whackjobs? Sad to see only a few non-extremists elected.

  6. How do you define ‘pragmatic’?

Is that some kind of secret code word for a person who go along with whatever Jack Franks wants?

  7. Pragmatic: dealing with situations sensibly and practically. IOW, what’s best for people rather than for party. America is in a massive shortage of those sort today, as the radical party agendas are more important than everyday Americans lives and we’ll being.
