Message of the Day – A Sign

Although there are no Democratic Party Primary Election contests for McHenry County office on the ballot, here’s a District 5 Democrat–Carlos Acosta–who posted a four- by-four sign on Lakewood Road in Lake in the Hills.

Democrat Calos Acosta is gaining name identification with this sign on Lakewood Raod in Lake in the Hills.

  1. Our McHenry county sunshine blog unanimously and enthusiastically endorses Carlos Acosta for our county board. Carlos brings diversity and the labor union perspective which are much needed in our county board. He is also very sensitive to the needs of immigrants, the lifeblood of vitality in our county, state, and country; a very competent professional in the social work field and a true christian who follows the principles of the gospel. Please donate to his campaign. Sunshine blogger, how about a fundraiser to support this grassroots campaign? I know what you are thinking, but no free lunch; strictly journalism. Go Carlos! Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock…

  2. “needs of immigrants” = taxpayer dollars. I’m sensitive to that issue also. That is why I’m requesting my taxes go to building the wall, a few more bucks to build it tall, and an extra tip to deport them all. I bet Angel thought I wasn’t willing to do my part to help.

  3. God bless all immigrants and all nations, particularly from the middle East, México and Africa, where the human race was born. Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meow, meeeoooowwwww…

  4. Bless all nations who keep their citizens in their own damn countries ! MAGA !

If the human race was born in the Middle East, Africa, or Mexico, they sure didn’t get their countries too far since then. And if they are such great places then why the fuck do they want to come here ?
Freebies, it’s all about taking what someone else has. Why work when someone else will do it for you.
    The Bernie Sanders plan.

  5. Any elected leader who supports illegal aliens should be booted out of office. Any elected leader who aids, hides or warns illegal aliens about ICE raids needs to be arrested and put in jail.

There is a regular process for persons from other nations wanting to come to the U.S. that must be followed. Those who don’t and sneak into our Nation must be sent back to their nation of origin.

  6. Isn’t Carlos Acosta the AFSCME union leader here? Or the guy who did all the talking during their walkout? Name sounds very familiar.

  7. fedup is close to the top of cal’s weak minded minions, but needs more work on his narrow minded thinking to over take several others who are scrambling to keep the “Ignorance Crown” that cal hands out each year.

  8. Thanks for bringing Bernie Sanders to the conversation. Go Bernie! Medicare for all, a decent living wage for all Americans, millionaires and billionaires paying their fair share of taxes, public colleges and universities tuition free, and the end of Wall Street looting of our economy. Can you hear the blue wave coming out way? It is overwhelming; and unstoppable. Hear the whisper, Speaker Pelosi, Speaker Pelosi, Speaker Pelosi…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock…

  9. If you like communism, vote for this disaster in the making. He had a charity, got money from the county, came back and asked for more money the next year. They asked him to give them his report on how he spent that money. He said “Oh I didn’t know I’d have to do that” They said ‘if you cannot prove you used the money for the manner in which we gave it to you, you will have to return it.”
He closed out the account, the charity so he wouldn’t have to give it back or be accountable for the taxpayer dollars that were given to him.
Yeah I really want a sham like this on the county board!

  10. It does not take long for compassionate conservatives to play their favorite card: communism. Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meow, meeeoooowwwww…

  11. Do I understand that the following resulted in his name being removed from a County Board Agenda to be appointed to a committee because of the outstanding debt to the County?

” He had a charity, got money from the county, came back and asked for more money the next year. They asked him to give them his report on how he spent that money. He said “Oh I didn’t know I’d have to do that” They said ‘if you cannot prove you used the money for the manner in which we gave it to you, you will have to return it.””

In addition did he not work for the McHenry County Latino Coalition until state funding ran out and he had to get somewhat of a real job?
