Jack Franks 2016 Endorsement History

Jack Franks surveying his domain.

In the 2016, McHenry County’s Democratic Party State Representative Jack Franks endorsed Hillary Clinton, the same as he did in 2008, when she ran against Barack Obama.

The 2016 results in McHenry County between Jack Franks’ favorite Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders follow::

Clinton – 13,221 (38.76%)

Sanders – 20 702 (60.69%)

Now, let’s look at the 2008 results:

Clinton – 11,948 (35.73%)

Obama – 2,0825 (62.28%)

A Boss Tweed, Jack Franks is not.

He certainly can’t transfer his popularity at the Presidential level.

This primary season, Jack Franks has publicly endorsed two candidates, as far as I know:

  • JB Pritzker for Governor
  • Sean Casten for Congress (to run against Peter Roskam, who has only Algonquin Township as part of his 6th Congressional District)

It will be interesting to see if Franks’ inability to deliver on his endorsements continues.

  2. Well done, Spotlight! When cal endorses a candidate, place your money on the opponent. He’s a weird one, as many state. He dooms candidates.

  3. I read somewhere Jack Franks (Jack Franks is a Democrat) endorsed our sunshine blog and paparazzi, freeloader sunshine blogger as news outlet and official blogger respectively. tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meow, meeeoooowwwww…

  4. Cal is an election prediction guru. Whomever he picks to wins, loses! Uncanny.

  5. Jack Franks introduced Barack Obama to Democrat Party politicians in McHenry County soon after Obama announced his candidacy for president. Not a good move there in that the unqualified Obama turned out to be the worst ever president of the U.S. with numerous, numerous acts of stupidity, incompetence, recklessness, lawlessness by him and those in his administration.
